Sand Castle Building Competition - Artists from around the world come every year at the beginning of August to compete. It is very inspiring to see what the possibilities one can build out from sand.


 

MILNER GARDENS & WOODLANDS
One of the highlights of any Island garden tour is Milner Gardens and Woodland. This 70-acre estate features an interpretive trail through old-growth forest, a 10-acre garden that includes over 500 rhododendrons and a heritage home that sits on a bluff overlooking Georgia Strait and has hosted British Royalty.

Incredible sight and “noise”!! Thousands of sea gull, duck, bold eagle, sea lion and seal join in for the feast – just 100m from Harmony Inn. They are attracted by herrings and nearby creek.


HORNBY ISLAND
Famous sandy beach @ Tribute Bay Provincial Park. Nice for a day trip.


MacMillan Provincial Park
Right on the Highway 4, 15 minutes from Qualicum Beach towards Port Alberni on beautiful Cameron Lake is also called "Cathedral Grow" ancient forest park. Edmire 500 - 600 years Trees and have inspiring walk.


Mount Arrowsmith
For those who love hiking - this mountain is definitely a challenge. Several parks around this mountain provide a spectacular views. Peak height at 1819m / 5968'.
